AGRIDIVING - Diving in nature between the land and the sea
Our dive center offers visitors the opportunity to spend a weekend in the midst of the luxurious nature of the Marine and Land National Park of the Portofino headland, far away from all environmental and noise pollution to spend few days with a small group of friends sharing diving and culinary experiences.
Just half way between the small bay of San Fruttuoso and the tip of the coast there stands an old mill that has recently been restored and made into a pretty guesthouse for the many travellers along the natural pathways of the headland who also wish to spend one or more days in the most charming places in Liguria, in the absolute silence of the night, with just the sounds and smells of nature, where the reflections of artificial lighting cannot penetrate and where instead the moon and the stars light up the atmosphere and create dancing shadows.
The wood is populated by many wild animals and rare birds that have found their ideal habitat for reproduction there including birds of prey, marine and migatory birds that use this strategic place along their flight routes to relax after the long journey and refresh themselves with the wide variety of food sources available.
The residence can be reached only on foot, in around 20 minutes from the village of San Fruttuoso, or just a couple of hours from the nearby villages of Portofino and Camogli. It is a family-run affair and can only cater for around ten people per night in three very cosy rooms.
Breakfast is served looking down onto the sea and you can dine outside or in the country dining room with wood oven where you can taste typical Ligurian dishes including different kinds of soups, vegetable flans, home-made pasta and bread and conserves prepared with genuine, home-grown ingredients.
The excursions we suggest starts from our divebase in the afternoon with our flagship, equipped for an adventure between the land and the sea.
Depending on the season we then go for one or two dives in the marine reserve.
Afterwards we get changed on board, out of our divingsuits and into sports clothes, put on our comfortable shoes and back pack with the essentials for the night, ready to land at San Fruttuoso to follow the old pathway that leads to the house. In the meantime our staff goes back to the divebase, looks after the diving equipment and prepares for the following day.
At the house, Andrea and Manuela, our hosts, are waiting for us for our sundown “aperitivo”. Just the time for a shower and dinner is ready, cooked and served outside at tables with breathtaking views or inside the characteristic building, in the prevailing silence of the uncontaminated nature.
The following morning, after a good night’s sleep and a good healthy breakfast to face the morning’s descent to the bottom of the hill, we get on board at around nine for another dive adventure in the marine park. After one or two dives the boat takes our guests back to our divebase in Santa Margherita Ligure or to San Fruttuoso depending by the duration of the AgriDiving experience which has been choosen.
The agridiving excursions can be personalised based on visitors’ specific requests and the length of their stay, from a minimum of two days (24 hours) to a maximum of one week stay.
They can be organised any day on request a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 11 divers, provided that the marine weather conditions are favourable and the rooms are available.
The price for the “AgriDiving "Basic" adventure lasting two days that includes one afternoon dive, dinner, accommodation, breakfast and another dive the following morning starts from 120€ to 190€ depending by the period and the number of partecipants. View our AgriDiving packages pricelists :
