Portofino Divers offers recreational, advanced and technical GUE ( Global Underwater Explorers ) diving courses through training programs that give students the key to becoming safe and competent divers, capable of fully enjoying the exhilarating experience of diving at any level.

The classroom sessions are designed to develop the student's level of knowledge and awareness which are essential elements for the safe practice of scuba diving.

At the same time, confidence in the water and familiarity with the equipment are acquired not just through diving practice, but also through specific drills conducted first in shallow water then in open seAs advanced and technical diving becomes possible for a greater number of people, the quality of education must keep pace. We believe that the possibility to assess the “real” experience of an instructor, that is to say to understand whether the same instructor regularly practices the same type of diving that you want to learn, plays a fundamental role in the selection of the same.

In addition to remaining constantly up to date in terms of both scientific and teaching aspects, our instructors are also constantly involved in explorations and activities that test their diving abilities in various diving conditions. They do not limit their dives to guiding regular clients or holding courses, diving also occupies most of their free time.

The GUE courses held in our centre in Santa Margherita Ligure are generally taught by Mario Arena and Bruno Borelli.

Courses held in foreign languages by internationally acclaimed GUE instructors from all over the world are often organised or held on request. Portofino Divers is considered the overseas point of reference for training and practice of the GUE philosophy in Europe.
